We were asked to create graphics for 72m corridor near the dementia ward of Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
The idea of ‘Memory Lane’ was to create a space to enhance the healing environment, especially for people with dementia, to take patients out of the clinical surroundings of the hospital and into a calming one, helping them reflect on their earlier days in Blackpool and the surrounding areas.
Memory Lane features 154m of the most memorable sights of Blackpool, with benches and display boxes – even including sounds and smells of the town.
